As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you will travel across your region to manage and develop teams in various care homes, helping deliver high quality care and service. You will work closely with the General Manager, helping implement action plans to ensure residents' needs are met. Your responsibilities include taking on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, managing care standards, motivating your team, and leading a multidisciplinary team. You will monitor standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice and ensure regulatory compliance.
You must be a registered nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration, possess a teaching or mentoring qualification, and have experience within a nursing home setting. You should have a proven track record of managing safeguarding investigations, clinical risk assessments, supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship, and some HR experience. Strong knowledge of sales and marketing, budget management and a compassionate, resilient approach are also required. You must be flexible and willing to travel.
