Our Front of House Host role: We're looking for an attentive, outgoing Front of House Host with a can-do attitude to help our guests feel at home - from first impression to final goodbye. You'll embody the spirit of Another Place with your friendly welcome, effortless charm and seamless efficiency; balancing customer service and computer administration to craft a rewarding career that encompasses the best of both worlds.

As our Front of House Host you'll be:

  • Completing all daily responsibilities and tasks in a timely manner.
  • Customer focused at all times.
  • Expanding your understanding of the local area and wider hotel operations.
  • Providing excellent customer service, ensuring all visitors to The Lake are greeted and have positive first impressions.
  • Checking guests into the hotel, ensuring a brand standard tour is given.
  • Assisting guests with their luggage (where needed).
  • Checking guests out of the hotel, ensuring brand standards are followed.
  • Supporting our Food and Beverage department with guest restaurant bookings and adaptions.

Within the Swim Club:

  • Managing access to the Swim Club.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for all visitors to Swim Club and ensuring its facilities are fully explained to all users, including a tour on first visits.
  • Familiarising guests with the area and helping where needed, ensuring that Swim Club guidelines are adhered to.
  • Informing guests of the treatments & activities list.
  • Showing guests through to the treatments snug and issuing them with a tablet for consultation forms.
  • Liaising with the therapists on duty to update them on any changes to their appointments throughout the day.
  • Completing any Membership renewals as directed by the Senior House Manager.

At the SheepShed:

  • Presenting a professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintaining an excellent standard of customer service.
  • Ensuring the SheepShed is kept clean and tidy and that wetsuits/boots/kit are washed as required.
  • Assisting in the preparation & organisation of activities for our guests, both on and off the water.
  • Responsible for all kit inspections of Another Place sports equipment and maintaining their appearance to ensure they meet guest expectations.
  • Working as part of a team to set up, pack up, and proactively help all guests using the equipment on the lake.

You’ll also be:

  • Representing our Another Place - The Lake brand at all times.
  • Responding to all enquiries in a timely manner and in a style that adheres to our brand guidelines.
  • Responsible for treatments, activities, kids' zone, restaurant, and secondary sales/bookings either in person, by telephone or by email.
  • Ensuring bookings are maximised within the parameters of the system, conveyed to the relevant Therapists and Instructors.
  • Creating accounts for payments.
  • Responsible for keeping the Host Desk, and any other relevant areas, up to standard.
  • Carrying out appropriate end of day banking.
  • Signing in/out keys and opening/closing Host areas as per training.

The skills you'll be sharing with us:

  • Comprehensive IT skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail - you'll notice when a guest needs help with something (sometimes even before they do!).
  • Previous experience of using property management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Previous FOH experience.
  • Previous F&B experience.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Current Enhanced DBS (this may also be obtained upon employment).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience of hotel computer systems and administration.
  • Adept at prioritising and time management.
