We're looking for a friendly and hardworking Breakfast Chef to join our Rampsbeck team. You will collaborate closely with the Head Chef, overseeing operations and ensuring top notch food quality and service, while inspiring autonomy and empowerment within the Kitchen team.
As the first point of culinary contact for our guests each day, you will create nourishing and memorable dishes while maintaining a seamless guest experience and a hearty kitchen rapport.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the preparation, cooking and service of all breakfast menu items, ensuring all standards are met.
- Execute the full breakfast service, including preparation of bacon, sausages, egg dishes, porridges and other required meals.
- Slice cold meat, cut fruit and prepare compotes for the cold buffet; maintain fresh items day to day.
- Prepare the children's buffet as required, ensuring balanced menus and avoiding repetition.
- Follow all kitchen schedules, complete daily check sheets and temperature logs, and comply with all supervisory instructions.
- Partake in the smooth running of all kitchen and back of house areas.
- Maintain an organised, clean and safe workplace for yourself and colleagues.
- Record all waste accurately using the kitchen wastage sheets.
- Food Hygiene certificate (essential).
- Flexible attitude to working hours and variable shift patterns.
- Interest and passion for the food industry.
- NVQ level 1 & 2 or equivalent (minimum).
- Team player with a positive, proactive mindset.
- Guest service focused, calm under pressure, and responsible use of equipment.
