A great opportunity exists to join a friendly and progressive firm in Northwich to join their payroll team as Payroll Senior Administrator. This role offers an experienced Payroll Administrator a step up to Payroll Senior together with a great working environment, generous salary and benefits. If you possess end to end payroll processing experience in an inhouse or bureau role and are ready for more responsibility and a career challenge within a dynamic team environment, this one is for you!

Working as part of a busy, friendly, collaborative team processing both small and high volume full end to end payroll processing weekly and monthly via Sage, you will deal with payroll queries in a timely manner providing a great payroll processing service, working together as a team, offering mentoring and support to colleagues. You will receive full payroll system training and support working closely within your team.

Duties

  • Process both small and high volume weekly/monthly payrolls, auto enrolment pensions dealing with payrolls from start to finish via Sage 50 or Brightpay (training provided) ensuring accuracy and working to deadlines
  • Dealing with HMRC, and various pension providers
  • BACS submissions PAYE, CIS, Holiday pay, SMP/SSP, P45/P46's starters leavers
  • P11Ds processing
  • Keeping up to date with the latest payroll legislation

Experience

  • Payroll experience within a bureau environment is preferred (not essential) as inhouse payroll processing will also be considered
  • In depth understanding of payroll legislation, processing and auto enrolment/pensions
  • Ability to manually calculate a payroll
  • In depth understanding of Sage 50 cloud payroll software or Bright Pay preferred. MS office experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment and on own initiative
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • A positive, proactive approach
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft products
