Our client, a long standing and highly reputable chartered accountancy practice, is seeking a confident Payroll Executive to join their warm and collaborative team. The Role

As the Payroll Executive, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Payroll processing for weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles
  • Auto enrolment and pension submissions
  • RTI submissions to HMRC
  • Handling statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP etc.)
  • Managing client queries and providing friendly, professional support
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with UK legislation

About You

We're looking for someone who brings both expertise and personality to the team:

  • Experience in bureau payroll or practice based payroll
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
  • Confident using payroll software (BrightPay, Sage, Iris or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team oriented approach
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
