We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join and facilitate the growth of our award-winning Commercial Property team. Based at either our Stockton or Newcastle office, the successful candidate will be joining a supportive and collegiate team that has an excellent reputation and prides itself upon its ability to deliver a tailored service to all clients.

About the Role

Our clients range from private individuals to multi-national PLCs, and we assist them with all aspects of commercial property including landlord and tenant matters, secured lending, development work and more. Our friendly and supportive Commercial Property team has a presence at both our modern, open plan offices in Stockton on Tees and Newcastle city centre. This is a busy and varied role, and the main duties will primarily include:

  • Drafting and negotiating legal documentation for one of our key clients
  • Handling a mixed caseload from conception to completion
  • Developing professional relationships to assist with the growth of our client base
  • Performing administrative duties in respect of own case load e.g. ordering property searches, registering property with Land Registry, general file management
  • Carrying out legal research
  • Providing support and assistance to team members in connection with more complex matters

About You

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within commercial property, or possibly residential property
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • The ability to work to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Drive to broaden areas of expertise and be able to work effectively, both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • The ability to travel between the firm's Stockton and Newcastle offices on an occasional basis, in line with the needs of the business
