Maintenance Full time Permanent

As our Painter & Decorator you will be responsible for helping with the day-to-day smooth running of the site and all its facilities, whilst working across all departments. Undertaking projects as required; painting and decorating of the property, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out any decorating repairs required both inside and outside of the properties
  • Apply paint and wallpaper including special papers and fabrics to walls, furniture and structures
  • Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes
  • Undertake minor repair works and general maintenance activities
  • Carry out all maintenance requests in regards event rooms, public areas and all other areas
  • Undertake the following additional works; dry lining damaged walls, plasterwork repairs, fit new plasterboard, removing paint with appropriate equipment
  • Be conversant and qualified to use and maintain all relevant hand and power hand tools, and workshop equipment in a safe effective manner
  • Monitor decorating material stock and procure new stock as required
  • Undertake both responsive and planned maintenance of painting and decoration
  • Complete any special duties or work outside normal daily/weekly routines but within the overall scope of the position

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably of a similar work environment
  • Have a high degree of flexibility, great organisational skills as you will need to arrange any work needed around the busy schedule of the venue
  • A positive attitude, enthusiasm and the ability to work without close supervision

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience with Muraspec wallcoverings or similar preferred
