To provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support to the Children and Young People 0-19 Service and their families. Working with the Health Visiting, School Health Nursing and Family Nurse Partnership teams, the post holder will join the team working from the Single Point of Access (SPA). Accurately inputting data and maintaining database information systems. This includes collating information from partner services and organisations. The post holder will be the main point of contact for the administration of appointments within the CYP0-19 service for parents and carers and also the first contact into the service for clients and multi-agency colleagues.

Main duties of the job:

  • To provide timely and comprehensive administrative support to the CYP-0-19 service.
  • Managing and updating information on the client electronic records (EHR).
  • Prioritise workload, following the 0-19 CYP SPA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Respond to the needs of clients and the service in a timely manner observing the need to achieve set targets.
  • Answering the telephone, taking messages accurately, responding to queries appropriately following Trust procedures whilst being aware of when there is a need to escape to senior staff.
  • To provide feedback to CYP0-19 service managers to support efficient and timely service delivery.

Person Specification:

  • Confident in using all Microsoft applications including Excel.
  • Good communication skills written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise and problem solve with a willingness to be flexible.
  • Previous NHS experience.
  • Understands and adheres to the need for confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and confidence following a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Customer service skills in a health setting.
  • Awareness of the importance of deadlines to meet targets.
  • Has experience of Electronic Health Records (EHR).
