Set within a unique, Grade II listed glasshouse, Gees is North Oxford's neighbourhood restaurant, and soon to become the well-established destination for adventurous, exciting, modern British cooking; making the most of the very best market ingredients available and influences from around the world. Following an ambitious expansion and refurbishment in 2022, Gees more than doubled in capacity with the addition of Gees Gallery, an adjacent private dining space for up to 50 guests, and Secret Garden, a covered and heated private terrace for up to 60 diners. This is an unmissable opportunity for an ambitious, competent and energetic Senior Restaurant Manager to successfully lead this high-volume, fast-paced, all-day operation.

As a Senior Restaurant Manager, you will be overseeing all aspects of daily operations; upholding our guest-focused, 'lead by example' culture, motivating and inspiring the management and front-of-house teams to perform at their best.

Key Requirements

  • Passion for hospitality, excited by food, wine, and restaurant culture, with high-level attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude with a keen willingness to learn
  • The ability to lead, inspire and motivate people
  • Excellent at interpersonal communication, coaching, and teamwork
  • Wide-ranging experience of dining in similar restaurants
  • Sound financial acumen, high level of written English, strong IT literacy
  • Previous management experience within a similar role is essential

We offer a sensible shift pattern, across a 45-hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with two days off) with an OTE up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, including non-contractual tronc (service charge).
