Sheridan Maine is working in partnership with a well‑established and fast‑growing accountancy practice based in Oxford to recruit a Senior Client Manager. The Role
As Senior Client Manager, you will take responsibility for an established portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact and trusted advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies (FRS 102 Section 1A), sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing corporation tax returns and self‑assessment tax returns
- Managing VAT returns and advising on VAT treatment
- Managing your portfolio from start to finish with minimal review adjustments
- Building strong and trusted client relationships
- Managing client expectations and communicating proactively
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Keeping up to date with regulatory changes, including Making Tax Digital (MTD)
- Identifying opportunities to add value and support continued business growth
Qualifications and Experience
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (full membership)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong experience preparing year‑end accounts across a range of entities
- Confident preparing corporation tax computations and self‑assessment returns
- Good understanding of VAT
- Ability to manage a client portfolio independently
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues
