This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic and busy HR team within the Department of Biology. This post may also be offered as a secondment opportunity.

The Role

Reporting to one of our Senior HR Officers, you will be joining a team of seven HR professionals. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including oversight of the Casual Worker process including payroll submission, and supporting the day to day operation of the generalist HR function including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, reporting, leave management, main, casual and overtime payroll.

The post holder will be provided with training in our systems, ready for the busy start of the new academic year. You will be flexible with a 'can do' attitude and the ability to communicate confidently, using discretion as required when dealing with confidential matters. Strong IT and written communication skills are essential.

This post is full time (part time with a minimum of 80% FTE will be considered). This post is fixed term for approximately 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave (TBC depending on start date) and may be offered as a secondment opportunity.

Salary (£): Grade 5: £32,108 to £37,338 with a discretionary range of up to £40,514 inclusive of an Oxford University Weighting.
