The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing Nominet's customer marketing strategy to drive awareness, customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth for the registry business. This role ensures our domain, registry and DNS products and services are effectively positioned in the market and aligned with organisational goals. You'll lead a small high-performing team, oversee the full marketing mix, and work closely with Commercial, Product, Customer Success and Corporate Affairs teams.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned to business objectives, growth targets, and Nominet's role as the trusted .UK registry and public benefit company.
- Own go-to-market plans for domain, registry and DNS products, services and partnerships.
- Lead management of the .UK brand and registry services, ensuring clear, consistent and trusted messaging.
- Drive thought leadership through content, events, insights and sector engagement.
- Deliver multi-channel acquisition campaigns across digital, paid, organic, email, social and partnerships.
- Oversee performance of customer websites and registrar resources, ensuring accessible and compliant customer journeys.
- Work closely with Product and Commercial teams on new product development, pricing strategy and propositions.
- Use customer, market and competitor insight to shape propositions, campaigns and service uptake.
- Build relationships with customers, government bodies, regulators, industry partners and strategic accounts.
- Grow Nominet's presence with global and regional stakeholders including ICANN and CENTR.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, ROI reporting and insight-led performance improvements.
- Manage the marketing budget and agency/supplier relationships.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making as part of the Extended Leadership Team.
About You:
- CIM qualification or equivalent professional marketing accreditation.
- Proven senior marketing leadership experience within a digital services, regulated, B2B or data-led environment.
- Experience working in a TLD registry, domains business, or comparable statutory / membership / professional registry environment strongly preferred.
- Strong background in brand, digital marketing, customer segmentation and integrated campaigns.
- Demonstrable success driving revenue growth, product adoption and customer engagement.
- Strong analytical capability with expertise in CRM, web analytics, insight-led marketing and optimisation.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a customer centric mindset.

- Experience of the articulation of pricing strategy and product marketing for data or digital service products.
