Are you a talented multiskilled engineer looking to make a real impact at the UK's only Arla cheese packaging site? At Oswestry, you'll help ensure our machinery runs at its best so we can continue feeding the nation with the dairy products people love - from Cravendale to Skyr to Anchor.
How you will make an impact:
- Join a supportive team with a strong focus on development and collaboration.
- Play a key role in keeping our operation running smoothly within a fast paced, highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Be the main point of contact between the shift team and the senior management team.
- Maintain, repair and improve the equipment that allows us to produce high quality, tasty and nutritious products for millions of consumers.
- Take part in continuous improvement, support project activity, and help drive long term reliability across the site.
- Respond to breakdowns and ensure a timely and effective resolution.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Support CI initiatives and site wide improvement projects.
- Install, commission and optimise equipment and machinery.
- Support colleagues with fault finding and upskilling staff.
You will be based at our Oswestry Packaging site in Shropshire, working a 3 on 3 off shift pattern (days & nights, 6-6).
What will make you successful:
- Bring both technical capability and the drive to make a difference.
- Enjoy solving problems, thrive in a fast moving manufacturing environment, and work collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
- Have strong experience as a multiskilled engineer - whether as a Shift Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Engineering Technician - with mechanical and electrical engineering expertise within manufacturing, production or process environments.
- Hold an NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience gained in a fast paced engineering setting.
- Ideally, have experience working with fast moving machinery, pumps, valves, inverter drives, sensors, relays, Siemens PLCs, site services such as steam plants, chilled water systems and compressors, as well as CIP systems.
- Possess strong IT skills, including SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems and HMIs.
- Have time served experience as a multiskilled engineer within a manufacturing environment.
