In this placement, you will be the first point of contact for HR enquiries, providing support to employees and managers and helping ensure the smooth delivery of HR services. You will gain valuable hands‑on experience across a range of HR activities while developing your professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for HR enquiries, triaging and responding appropriately
- Support the coordination of job grading and job evaluation processes, maintaining accurate records
- Assist in the administration and promotion of employee wellbeing and financial wellbeing schemes
- Provide general administrative support to the HROD team
- Help ensure efficient and high-quality HR service delivery across the council
About You
- We are looking for someone who is interested in building a career in Human Resources
- Well organised with strong attention to detail
- A confident communicator with good customer service skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- A CIPD qualification (or working towards one) would be desirable, as would previous HR or administrative experience
