We are recruiting a full or part‑time Optometrist for an independent optical practice based in Bexhill‑on‑Sea, East Sussex.

Role

  • Provide 30‑minute tests to patients of all ages.
  • Conduct 13 tests a day, two 15‑minute short appointments and two 15‑minute catch‑up breaks.
  • Perform contact‑lens work.
  • Specialist clinics – glaucoma.
  • Enjoy a nice, relaxed environment – not target driven.
  • Work with OCT, Topcon Retinal Imaging, Optos Daytona, DNEye scanner, slit lamps and Volk instruments.
  • Utilise Optix software.
  • Receive excellent support from qualified dispensing opticians.
  • Flexible working days from 09:00 to 17:15 (most Saturdays required).

Candidate

  • Qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC.
  • Newly qualified optometrists will be considered.
  • Demonstrates a caring attitude towards patients.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to input new ideas.
  • Balances commercial and clinical duties.

Salary and Package

  • Annual salary between £45,000 and £60,000.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • No work on Sundays or bank holidays.
  • In‑house organised CET training.
