We are currently looking for a full time Optometrist for our Thurrock Warehouse. Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing sight problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness or eye diseases.
  • Providing treatment such as contact lenses or glasses.
  • Informing patients and explaining how to take care of their eyes; educating on contact lens cleaning and wear.
  • Liaising with other medical practitioners and sharing care of patients with chronic ophthalmic conditions.
  • Undertaking continuing education and training.
  • Managing staff, including dispensing opticians and clerical staff.
  • Administering, organising and planning development of the practice.
  • Liaising with sales representatives from vision care product suppliers.
  • Providing prompt and courteous service to members, employees and vendors at all times.

Qualifications

  • Hold an Optometry degree approved by the GOC.
  • Service oriented - experienced in going the extra mile.
  • Energetic and familiar with working in a fast paced environment.
