Company Overview: NRL is supporting our client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, as they continue to invest in offshore wind projects. Their mission is to help meet global targets to limit climate change by designing and delivering state of the art wind turbine generators. To achieve these goals, they require a professional and dedicated team.

Role Summary: We are looking for a Storekeeper to join the Service Department for offshore wind operations. This department defines service strategies, provides tools, and manages manpower for offshore wind turbine maintenance. The role involves managing all materials, plant, and tooling on the Service Operation Vessel (SOV) to support service teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Warehouse Manager and manage inventory on the service vessel
  • Pick, sign out, and sign in materials and equipment for technicians
  • Monitor procurement activities to maintain stock levels
  • Coordinate with Service Leads for shift preparation
  • Monitor equipment condition, calibration, and statutory inspections
  • Arrange repairs and replacements for defective tools
  • Liaise with onshore warehouse teams during port calls
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in IT systems
  • Ensure storage areas comply with COSHH and safety standards
  • Support stowing operations and sea fastening as required
  • Work offshore on a 2/2 week rotation (12 hour shifts) and onshore as needed

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Knowledge of offshore wind turbine operations (mandatory)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in storekeeping/warehouse (technician background considered)
  • IT literate
  • Must hold GWO as noted above, and have stores, materials or similar experience

Mandatory Certifications:

  • FUET or BOSIT
  • GWO Working & Rescue at Height
  • GWO Basic Safety Training
  • OGUK Medical with Chester Step and XBR measurements
  • Counter Balance FLT License

Desirable Certifications (training can be provided):

  • Rigging/lifting equipment inspection
  • Dangerous Goods certification
  • IPAF/MEWP, forklift/telehandler training
  • GWO Slinger/Signaler
  • GWO BTT (Mechanical/Electrical/Hydraulics/Installation)
  • Pallet Stacker, Telehandler/MEWP qualifications

Remuneration: £18 per hour for all hours worked; £80 per day at sea.
