We are looking for an experienced and qualified Nursery Manager or experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a purpose-built nursery setting, built in late 2023, based in Crowland. The nursery can cater for up to 70 children each day across 3 rooms, is already nearing capacity, and recently achieved an 'Expected Standards' Ofsted rating with a 'Strong Standard' in relation to Children's Welfare and Wellbeing.
This is a senior leadership role where you'll take overall responsibility for the nursery - managing your staff, resources, and the nursery environment, supporting children's learning and wellbeing, and building strong partnerships with families and the wider community. You'll also play a key role in the business side of the nursery, supporting the owners with commercial and financial decisions and processes.
It's an exciting role with responsibility - but you won't be on your own. You'll have the support of the ownership and a team of 14 staff (10 full-time, 4 part-time), including a Deputy Manager, Room Leaders, and a full-time Chef!
The organisation offers:
- Flexibility to work a 4-day or 5-day work week (as appropriate)
- 40% discount on childcare fees
- 28 days holiday, including bank holidays, plus additional time off during the Christmas closure
- An opportunity to be trusted to run an established nursery with autonomy and support
You will need:
- A full and relevant level 3 (or above) childcare qualification
- Ability to work a flexible rota between 7:30am-6pm Monday to Friday
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in a similar role
- Strong leadership and management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
- The ability to build strong, nurturing relationships with parents, children, and the wider community
- A passion for childcare and child development and making a difference to the community
