Nuneaton Academy is seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organised Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This is a busy and rewarding role at the heart of the school, requiring excellent communication skills, strong administrative ability, and a commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wider school community. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the reception area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of a fast paced school reception, greeting visitors, handling telephone enquiries, and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
  • Manage visitor access via the gate intercom, coordinate appointments and meeting spaces, handle mail, maintain records, and provide general administrative support.
  • Liaise with parents, staff, and senior leadership, support student processes such as signing out, and maintain accurate student medical and administrative records.

Qualifications

This role is subject to a full enhanced DBS and barred list check, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
