Salary: £32,136.00 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the efficient routing of the fleet across 12 recycling centres and 4 transfer stations throughout Nottinghamshire
  • Managing and updating driver rotas to meet service requirements and operational changes
  • Managing EU Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) compliance, investigating and actioning any infringements
  • Scheduling vehicle servicing, MOT and LOLER inspections to ensure continuous fleet compliance
  • Maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance paperwork and drivers' hours
  • Conducting vehicle gate checks and driver worksafe observations
  • Delivering toolbox talks and safety alerts to the driver team
  • Conducting daily driver debriefs and undertaking investigations using internal systems
  • Carrying out regular weekly site visits to allocated transfer stations

What we're looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience working within a fast‑paced transport or logistics environment
  • Strong working knowledge of transport legislation including EU Drivers' Hours, WTD and tachograph management
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Experience managing Category C and C+E drivers
  • Proven ability to manage fleet compliance and vehicle maintenance scheduling
  • Strong organisational skills with experience maintaining accurate transport records
  • Category C+E (HGV Class 1) licence desirable
