What you'll be doing:
- Managing the efficient routing of the fleet across 12 recycling centres and 4 transfer stations throughout Nottinghamshire
- Managing and updating driver rotas to meet service requirements and operational changes
- Managing EU Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) compliance, investigating and actioning any infringements
- Scheduling vehicle servicing, MOT and LOLER inspections to ensure continuous fleet compliance
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance paperwork and drivers' hours
- Conducting vehicle gate checks and driver worksafe observations
- Delivering toolbox talks and safety alerts to the driver team
- Conducting daily driver debriefs and undertaking investigations using internal systems
- Carrying out regular weekly site visits to allocated transfer stations
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrable experience working within a fast‑paced transport or logistics environment
- Strong working knowledge of transport legislation including EU Drivers' Hours, WTD and tachograph management
- Full, clean driving licence
- Experience managing Category C and C+E drivers
- Proven ability to manage fleet compliance and vehicle maintenance scheduling
- Strong organisational skills with experience maintaining accurate transport records
- Category C+E (HGV Class 1) licence desirable
