We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join our team at HMP Whatton. This role delivers an outstanding service and supports the substance misuse healthcare team.
Hours and Salary
Hours: Monday - Friday, core office hours
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Main duties
- Collaborate with team members to assess patients' needs and risks
- Provide management and supervision to the Substance Misuse Recovery Workers
- Deliver evidence based care for a caseload of psychosocial patients; listen to feedback and personalise care
- Provide programmes of psychosocial interventions, alongside advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cessation, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices
- Deliver non judgmental care individually and in groups, supporting nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within secure environments
- Make a real difference by following the HiJ competency framework, policies, procedures and safeguarding principles
Qualifications
- Relevant degree, qualification or equivalent experience
- Evidence of CPDSMART Recovery experience or completed training
- Knowledge and experience of structured psychosocial interventions
- Experience working within the substance misuse multi disciplinary framework (housing, social care, healthcare, mental health pathways)
- Non judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
