Step into a leadership role where you'll shape the successful delivery of complex customer implementations and drive performance across a portfolio of strategic projects. As a Portfolio Manager, reporting to the Head of Project Management, you'll lead and support a team of Project Managers to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery and strong customer outcomes.
You'll balance operational oversight with strategic thinking, managing performance, strengthening governance, and ensuring project standards are applied consistently across the portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to influence delivery excellence, support commercial success, and play a key role in how Professional Services continues to evolve within MHR.
Your Team
- You'll lead a team of Project Managers, providing line management, mentoring, and practical support to help them deliver successfully.
- Through regular reviews, audits, and performance discussions, you'll ensure projects are well-managed, risks are controlled, and delivery standards remain high.
- You'll also work closely with colleagues across Professional Services, Sales, and the PMO to manage resource utilisation, support pre-sales activity, and ensure the effective management of the wider project portfolio.
- Collaboration will be central to your role, aligning delivery, commercial performance, and customer outcomes.
Your Impact
- Your leadership will directly influence the success of customer implementations and the performance of the project portfolio.
- By embedding strong governance and consistent delivery standards, you'll help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the expected quality.
- You'll proactively monitor project health across the portfolio, identifying risks early, supporting resolution of issues, and helping prevent customer escalations.
- Where needed, you'll step into hands-on project leadership during periods of high demand or team absence, managing risks, budgets, changes, and communications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Through effective resource management and collaboration with Sales and delivery teams, you'll help optimise utilisation, identify commercial opportunities, and support revenue targets aligned to the business plan.
