£13.90 per hour. Full time Monday to Friday. Weekly pay and holiday accrual. We are recruiting for two HR Advisers/Administrative Officers to assist a public sector client on a temporary basis for six months, working from our client’s office in Nottingham city centre. The role will be 100% on site during training and may drop to 60% office duty depending on business needs. A provisional start date of 1st June 2026 is expected, with 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday and some flexibility after training is completed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Service Delivery Resource Planning Team and HR Resourcing Team, following agreed processes and meeting service timescales.
  • Log, update and maintain vacancy and resourcing information (e.g., candidate details, start dates, onboarding milestones) across relevant systems and trackers, including Fusion where required.
  • Support resource planning by reconciling data between systems, producing routine status updates/management information, and highlighting missing information or overdue actions to the appropriate colleague.
  • Coordinate resourcing administration by sending and chasing required information, booking/arranging required activities where needed, and liaising with stakeholders (e.g., recruitment, hiring managers, IT, security and payroll) to progress pre‑employment checks and new starter actions.
  • File and retain resourcing and onboarding documentation in line with policy, information security and GDPR requirements, ensuring records are complete and easy to retrieve.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the team to manage shared inboxes/queues, respond to routine queries, and complete ad‑hoc administrative tasks as required.

The role is subject to 3‑year referencing and a Basic DBS check.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong administration and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally by phone and email.
  • Good organisation and time‑management, able to prioritise routine tasks across multiple work queues and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with accurate data entry and a commitment to keeping trackers and systems up to date.
  • Confident use of IT systems (e.g., HR databases, spreadsheets/trackers and applicant systems) and ability to produce routine updates/management information (training will be given where required).
  • Able to coordinate actions with a range of stakeholders by sending, chasing and organising information to progress tasks.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality, information security and GDPR when handling personal data.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience with VX Skills or similar civil service systems.
  • HR/Recruitment experience.
