This role will provide expatriate tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of clients with an international presence or focus. UK employment tax experience or knowledge is helpful but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide expatriate tax compliance and advisory services, including the annual tax return process for clients with various numbers of assignees.
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients and assist with the development of targets to ensure continued business growth.
- Provide assistance to senior members of staff in both client work and group management.
- Proactively manage own workload, communicating regularly with directors and partners.
- Identify and highlight further opportunities to develop new work and sell additional services to existing clients.
Qualifications
- Significant understanding and prior experience in expatriate tax compliance.
- Knowledge of tax reimbursement methods, international payroll operation, and international social security.
- Knowledge of recent key updates in Expatriate Tax, such as the Statutory Residence Test, Short Term Business Visitors, and Non-Resident Directors.
- Expatriate Tax advisory experience.
- Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio.
- Demonstrable staff management experience.
- Ability to actively seek opportunities to sell new services to existing clients.
- Experience dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders.
- Educated to degree level, and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or qualified by experience.
- UK employment tax knowledge helpful but not essential.
