We have an opportunity to join our award winning Facilities Management catering team where you will be providing tasty, nutritious, home cooked meals made from locally sourced fresh produce. We are a 'fresh food' organisation encouraging children and young people to choose nutritious meals. We are currently recruiting a Relief Mobile Cook to join our team at various schools across the Thirsk/Easingwold/Northallerton area, catering for a varied number of meals per day depending on the schools' requirements. As a Travelling Cook your role will require you to lead and support the team to deliver an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety.
Your role will require you to prepare, cook and serve meals to students and staff, setting up and clearing away the dining hall, washing up as well as other kitchen management duties such as supervision of staff, ordering food, stock taking and administration. Your role will require you to travel significantly within the county as directed by the area management team. Full driving licence and use of a personal vehicle is required with business use insurance and a mileage allowance of £0.45 per mile will be paid.
As a valued member of our hardworking team, you will be reliable, dependable and committed to providing healthy wholesome dishes, typically working various hours per week, as the business needs. No weekend work! You will work term time only. For this you will be paid £13.47 per hour.
