We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse. The Staff Nurse is a registered nurse working as part of the Health Visiting Team providing preventative and supportive health care to children and families in Wiltshire. This role includes the identification, monitoring and provision of targeted support to vulnerable children and those whose welfare and safety may be at risk. Our Staff Nurses work as a member of the Health Visiting Team maintaining a public health focus under the supervision of a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) to deliver the Healthy Programme in a variety of settings including the home and community venues as delegated by the Health Visitor. All allocated work is completed within the designated competency framework.

Base: Our Healthy Family Teams support our Wiltshire-wide service; you will be based at one of the three main hubs in Wiltshire and supported by agile and mobile working.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work within the boundaries of the Staff Nurse Competency framework.
  • Work with the Health Visiting Team to achieve Key Performance Indicators.
  • Identify, monitor and provide targeted support to vulnerable children and those at risk.
  • Deliver the Healthy Programme in a variety of settings as delegated by the Health Visitor.

  • Registered Nurse.
