About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Non-Pharmacist Manager to lead a busy independent pharmacy in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing both people and processes. The pharmacy dispenses approximately 23,000 - 24,000 items per month and is supported by robotic dispensing (Titan system), allowing for efficient workflow and a focus on team leadership and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy
- Lead, motivate, and manage the pharmacy team to ensure high performance
- Ensure smooth dispensing processes and workflow efficiency
- Maintain excellent customer service standards
- Manage staffing, rotas, and performance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures
- Work closely with the pharmacist and wider team to deliver safe and effective services
Requirements
- Proven management experience (essential)
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
Desirable (but not essential)
- Dispensing experience
- Pharmacy Technician qualification or equivalent
- Experience working within a community pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with Titan or automated dispensing systems
