Your Duties
- Carry out cleaning duties safely and correctly at all times
- Maintain high hygiene standards in all work areas
- Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene procedures
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow COSHH guidelines
- Never mix chemicals
- Wear the correct PPE at all times while cleaning
- Ensure machines are safely switched off before cleaning where required
- Report any damaged equipment or safety concerns to your Line Manager immediately
- Follow the correct cleaning methods and instructions
- Help support Production and Quality teams when extra cleaning is needed
- Ensure cleaning activities do not create any food safety risks
- Work safely and support the safety of other team members
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management
- Follow food hygiene, cleaning, and safety rules at all times
- Maintain good personal hygiene and use PPE correctly
- Be reliable and punctual
- Understand basic English to:
- Follow verbal instructions
- Read safety signs and cleaning labels
- Communicate with supervisors and team members
- Have previous experience in cleaning or food environments
- Have food hygiene or safety training/certification
- Be willing to learn new tasks and procedures
- Be able to complete simple cleaning records or checklists
- Be flexible with shifts or work areas
- Maintain hygiene standards – clean work areas thoroughly to protect food safety
- Have health & safety awareness – work safely and follow procedures
- Communicate effectively – use basic English to understand instructions and report issues
- Work well in a team – support colleagues
- Take responsibility – own tasks and follow rules
- Exhibit a positive attitude – approach work in a professional and cooperative manner
