Band 7 Physiotherapy Advanced Practitioner Post in Midlothian Community Respiratory Team (MCRT), Intermediate Care Team. There is 1 WTE permanent Band 7 Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner available in Midlothian Community Respiratory team (MCRT). MCRT is nationally recognised for delivering high‑quality care to patients with COPD in the community. We prevent hospital admissions, treat acute exacerbations at home, and provide holistic respiratory care. The team includes Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners, Specialist Physiotherapists, a Dietitian, a Psychologist and a Clinical Support Worker. We have also developed the MCRT+ pathway, supporting patients with other respiratory conditions and enabling short‑term home‑based care post‑hospital discharge. We accept referrals from GPs, hospital staff, SAS, and community healthcare professionals.

  • Maintain strong links with secondary care respiratory colleagues to optimise patient outcomes.
