We are pleased to be partnering with Ulster University to offer a Degree Apprenticeship in Law for an aspiring future lawyer. The programme will enable a legal apprentice to study for an LLB (Hons) in Law at Ulster University, while gaining professional legal experience within one of Northern Ireland’s leading independent law firms. This unique four-year programme – facilitated by the Department for the Economy’s Higher Level Apprenticeship scheme – offers aspiring solicitors the opportunity to earn while they learn, gain invaluable professional experience, and acquire a degree from an award‑winning university without incurring any tuition fees. The successful candidate will commence the programme in September 2026.
Programme structure
- 4 days per week working in office at Wilson Nesbitt
- 1 day per week studying Law at Ulster University

What you’ll do at Wilson Nesbitt
- Manage your own legal caseload with guidance and support from our team
- Work closely with experienced solicitors and managers
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders
- Conduct document signing consultations
- Draft and proofread legal documents
- Progress cases using internal systems to meet targets
