Requirements:
- Must hold a driving licence.
Key Result Areas:
- Apply high-level gardening skills to meet horticultural standards as set by the Grounds Maintenance Specification.
- Perform horticultural operations such as grass cutting, trimming hedges, clearing leaves and litter.
- Plant bedding plants, trees and shrubs; maintain shrub beds with pruning and division.
- Apply chemicals responsibly.
- Maintain and set out sports facilities.
- Conduct soft landscaping works (top-soiling, cultivation, seeding, shrub-bed renewal).
- Operate and ensure all vehicles, plant and machinery are maintained in good working order and comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and Road Traffic Regulations.
- Report defects in tools and equipment to line manager.
- Take reasonable care of own and others' safety; cooperate with managers/supervisors to meet statutory health & safety duties; report incidents, accidents, faults, etc.
