The Jones Robinson Group covers Berkshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. We are the region's most successful estate agent, offering buying, selling, letting and property management. We are seeking an HR Manager who will support our mission of providing real and honest communication with both staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships across the business, advising managers on people matters in a fair and consistent way.
- Manage a varied workload effectively and adapt to change in a busy environment.
- Communicate clearly and influence others positively.
- Embrace continuous improvement and seek ways to strengthen people processes.
- Demonstrate empathy, sound judgement and high professional standards.
- Oversee all recruitment, including first interviews, job specification writing, recruitment advertising, agency management, and workforce planning.
- Ensure all new team members are onboarded correctly and that probation and ongoing support processes are executed.
- Work with senior management to plan and implement training and qualification programmes, including talent development, succession planning and performance management.
- Analyse staff turnover, conduct exit interviews, monitor absence trends and support managers with absence management.
- Maintain staff handbook, discipline, and grievance processes, liaising with external specialists, and ensuring compliance and accuracy of HR policies and records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at HR Manager level or similar.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practice and employment legislation.
- Experience of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.
- A proactive and practical approach to supporting day to day HR operations and long term people planning.
