A highly respected specialist insurer is seeking an experienced Professional Indemnity Underwriting Team Leader to help shape the next phase of growth within its Manchester operation. You'll work closely with senior leadership as part of an ambitious growth strategy, helping drive a portfolio currently approaching £30m GWP toward significant future expansion.
The Role- Lead and develop the New Business PI underwriting function
- Underwrite across a broad range of Professional Indemnity risks
- Build and strengthen broker relationships across the UK market
- Support the continued growth of the Manchester office as the central hub for SME business
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership on underwriting strategy and portfolio development
- Mentor and support underwriters within the team
- Strong PI underwriting background across a wide range of professions
- Experience handling property professionals, surveyors, estate agents and/or Design & Construction risks would be highly advantageous
- Strong broker development and trading skills
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience beneficial, though not essential
- Commercially minded with a growth-focused approach
