Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour

Overtime Rate: to be confirmed during interview

Hours: 29 hours over 6 days (Sunday) Day Off Schedule

  • Monday: 05:00 – 10:00
  • Tuesday: 05:00 – 10:00
  • Wednesday: 05:00 – 10:00
  • Thursday: 05:00 – 10:00
  • Friday: 05:00 – 10:00
  • Saturday: 05:00 – 09:00

About the Role

You will supervise the cleaning team responsible for delivering a high‑quality cleaning service in the Sainsbury's store, and you will also carry out some cleaning tasks yourself. You will support recruitment and training of your cleaning team, plan their rota and work patterns, and complete their timesheets to ensure correct pay. You must have a flexible working schedule to meet business needs. Health & Safety is our No.1 priority and you will be responsible for monitoring and managing this for yourself and all site personnel. We will provide you with all the equipment and support you need.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the cleaning team and supervise high‑quality service delivery.
  • Recruit, train, and develop cleaning staff.
  • Plan staff rotas, work patterns, and complete timesheet administration.
  • Record and manage timekeeping accurately.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance throughout the store.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a team in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Relevant experience in cleaning services.
  • Experience with stock management and time recording.
  • Experience handling employee relations, investigations, disciplinaries, and performance management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet business needs.
