This is a rare opportunity to transition from a seafaring career into a role where you will shape the future of the Merchant Navy by training and mentoring the next generation of deck officers and nautical professionals.
Responsibilities
- Joining a team of dedicated professionals, you will play a key role in delivering world class maritime education.
- Your responsibilities will include preparing and delivering course material, assessing student progress, managing and administering specified courses, and providing mentorship.
- A significant part of the role involves working with simulators, making prior simulator experience highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Officer of the Watch Unlimited (or higher) qualification
- Experience in deck operations, ideally within the Merchant Navy
- A passion for teaching and developing future marine professionals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Right to work in the UK (either permanent or limited time post education)
- Previous lecturing or instructional experience is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with maritime training simulators is a strong advantage
