Due to expansion in our clinical team, we are looking for an additional Salaried GP to join Lydney Practice and Dean Medical Practice (Blakeney Branch) part of G DOC Ltd, working within a supportive, innovative primary care group.

Key Information

  • 6 Sessions Per Week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
  • 15 minute face to face appointments
  • 12-15 patients per session
  • 28% Protected Admin Time
  • Location: Forest of Dean Dean Medical Practice (Blakeney Surgery) - Monday and Tuesday, Lydney Practice - Thursday
  • £53.51 per hour
  • £13,217 per session (4.75 hour session)
  • Excellent access to woodland, countryside, and the Wye Valley, with excellent links to the SouthWest and South Wales

Main duties of the job

  • Primary care clinician duties: face to face, video, telephone, and e consultations, plus queries.
  • Home visits, duty doctor/on call responsibilities, clinical administration, prescribing, and timely completion of paperwork and correspondence.
  • Act as Named GP for a share of registered patients proportionate to contracted hours.
  • Comply with the General Medical Council's Good Medical Practice and other doctor standards.

  • Competent or willing to become competent in using SystmOne.
  • Competent in Office and Outlook.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedure.
  • Identify and resolve risk management issues according to policy or protocol.
  • Effective time management.
  • Ability to work both as a team member and autonomously.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Experience

  • Experienced GPs and newly qualified GPs who have access to the funded 26/27 Gloucestershire Spark fellowship scheme, providing paid time for mentoring, peer support, training, and project work.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Medicine or GMC recognised equivalent.
  • Current registration with General Medical Council and on the GMC GP register.
  • On the National Performers List.
  • MRCGP or equivalent.
  • Level 3 safeguarding training up to date, or willingness to bring up to date before commencing.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
