Purpose of the Role

Responsible for the design, evolution, testing, and capacity planning of core voice signalling platforms across 2G, 3G, 4G, IMS, and 5G networks. The role supports network transformation initiatives, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable signalling solutions that meet business and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support core voice network signalling platforms, including IP STP, DRA/DEA, DSC, IMS, and Legacy voice core nodes.
  • Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), Statements of Requirements (SoRs), and capacity models.
  • Develop and support automated testing capabilities for 5G Standalone (5GSA) and Legacy network call flows.
  • Assess network evolution impacts and define technical requirements for vendors and suppliers.
  • Review supplier Statements of Compliance (SoCs), Statements of Work (SoWs), quotations, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with security, fraud prevention, and operational standards.
  • Contribute to 1-3 year signalling technology roadmaps covering hardware, software, capability, and capacity planning.
  • Provide technical leadership and design guidance to projects, third parties, and cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of mobile core networks (2G/3G/4G/IMS/5G).
  • Expertise in signalling protocols including SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP, Diameter, and MAP.
  • Understanding of telecom standards, traffic engineering, switching technologies, and radio principles.
  • Experience in network design, capacity planning, automation, testing, and vendor management.
