We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Belmarsh, a Category A prison located in South East London. The site offers a 24 hour service with shift patterns: Mon-Sun, 7am 7pm. Salary: Full time, annual salary up to £26.05 per hour.
Bespoke induction, including an Introducing Health in Justice training course, a competency framework, regional and national career development opportunities, a bespoke Learning Management System to address learning needs, and support from the wider team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of patients' mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload of patients and assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
- Contribute to the nursing strategy and vision by providing outstanding evidence based care, seeking, listening to and acting on patient feedback so care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Deliver non judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
- Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients' care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.
