What you will be doing:
- Undertake research informed teaching and teaching related activities, to be agreed with the Head of Department.
- Plan, deliver and assess innovative, engaging and challenging teaching activities which provide a distinctive and exceptional student experience.
- Ensure teaching is research-led with subject content underpinned by relevant specialist research.
Qualifications / Experience:
- PhD (or equivalent) in optometry, or a relevant subject area, or an Honours degree (or equivalent) in optometry or a related degree, coupled with registration with the General Optical Council.
- Candidates for the Associate Professor role will be expected to possess a PhD (or equivalent) in optometry, or a relevant subject area. Registration with the General Optical Council is preferred but not mandatory.
- Advance HE fellow or a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice, or a commitment to obtaining this following appointment.
