Long Clawson Dairy (Clawson Farms) is based in Long Clawson (LE14 4PJ) and offers a salary of £12.85 per hour plus great benefits. The hours are day shifts from Monday to Friday, part-time from 9:15 am to 2:00 pm, totalling 20 hours per week.

We are a truly unique business! Our award-winning cheese is considered a national treasure, and we have over a hundred years of cheesemaking experience. Our Protected Designation of Origin Stilton is a British heritage brand to be truly proud of.

We are now seeking a number of Process Operators to join the Clawson family on a part-time basis. All training will be given; however, experience in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment would be an advantage.

What you’ll do:

  • Operate the packing lines, preparing and packing our heritage brand cheeses.
  • Use state-of-the-art equipment and be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues.
  • Undertake relevant training as required.
  • Report problems or issues that may impact product quality or production activities.
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards, and Company Rules/Procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Complete records accurately and perform timely cleaning of the line and equipment.
  • Support your colleagues and show respect for them, customers, and the environment.
  • Maintain product quality in accordance with quality standards.

What are we looking for?

  • Industrious and able to work under pressure.
  • Good level of fitness - able to lift weights of up to 20kg and push/pull weights of up to 1000kg.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (to be achieved within 6 months).
  • Adaptable/flexible to meet production requirements and seasonal fluctuations.
  • English speaking at a basic level.
  • Quality focused and dexterous.
  • Desirable: Food/process manufacturing background.
