Responsibilities
They are looking for a Lean Manufacturing champion to be responsible for developing, leading and implementing manufacturing optimisation projects to increase process efficiency. The role of highest-ranking manager in the organisation is undoubtedly responsible for the overall success of the business, and the key objective of your role as Managing Director will be to lead an environment that embraces lean manufacturing strategy and implement high levels of performance management to improve quality and processes. Meeting this objective will require leading and designing operational goals and strategies that will improve processes within the organisation. Your job will be to employ methodologies and tools, and manage all activities for continuous improvement, performance enhancement and the accomplishment of business objectives.
Supporting the organisation through lean manufacturing in order to resolve problems with the current manufacturing systems (workflow, planning, process improvement, budget goals, safety, delivery etc.) will require someone with excellent analytical and conceptual skills and a performance management mind-set. Your role will encompass analysing work force utilisation, facility layout and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts and production schedules to determine efficient utilisation of staff and machinery. A desire to achieve through engaging an entire team is fundamental to the role of Managing Director. You will be responsible for driving management and ultimately production staff in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, tools and techniques. You will provide leadership and will be responsible for developing and exceeding quality, schedule and cost objectives.
