Shift Pattern 07:45am - 6:30pm, working Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week.

Manor Park Care Home is a brand-new, purpose-built facility offering high-quality residential and dementia care. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team and help deliver nutritious, well-balanced meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and serving meals that are both nutritious and enjoyable, catering to a variety of dietary needs.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and care team to ensure that every meal is made with care, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
  • Support with stock control, food storage, and kitchen organisation.
  • Follow food safety regulations and internal policies.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, taking into account their preferences and feedback.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Cook, ideally in a care home, healthcare, or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A caring, respectful approach to working in a care environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
