A wonderful family in the Shropshire countryside is looking for a fantastic nanny to join them at their rural home. They have two boys, ages 5 and 3.5 years, who share a bedroom, attend nursery and school next door, and enjoy creative play, drawing, reading, building dens, swimming, tennis, and Lego clubs. The family values manners, kindness, and boundaries, and seeks a nanny who can partner to instil these values while encouraging outdoor play and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise activities and outings during the holidays, using the family's National Trust membership.
- Organise playdates with other nannies and local families to support the boys' social and emotional development.
- Guide children's behaviour and interests using a positive, constructive approach.
- Follow food allergy protocols for the eldest child in partnership with the family and hospital.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children.
Requirements
- Experience caring for children in a private home.
- Level 3 childcare qualification.
- Up to date enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
- 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Minimum of two professional referees, including current or last employer.
- Car ownership (own car essential).
- Proactive and confident in handling food allergies.
Working Hours and Days
- Term Time: 10:30 am - 6:30 pm, 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).
- School Holidays: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
Salary and Benefits
- £23,000 gross per annum.
- Benefits: National Trust Membership.
- This is a permanent position.
