  • Robot milking and assisting with general animal care and moving of the livestock.
  • Supporting with calving duties.
  • Carrying out general yard work.
  • Undertaking routine farm maintenance.
  • Performing other tasks as required to support the smooth running of the farm.

Entry requirements: Farming experience preferred but not essential. Maths and English GCSE at grade 4 and above preferred but not essential.

Training: Training will be provided through 1-2-1 teaching and observations; a training specialist will coach, teach, and support the apprentice at the farm on a one-to-one basis, visiting at regular and agreed intervals. Face-to-face teaching will occur as a group with block delivery throughout the year with other apprentices in the area. Tutorials will be offered regularly, and an e-learning platform will provide work and activities for apprentices to complete.

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, there will be the opportunity for a permanent position and further training.

Location: Trewindle Farm, Lostwithiel, Devon, United Kingdom, PL22 0LN

Working week: 30 hours per week on a rota basis (Monday-Sunday between the hours of 6am-6pm)

Duration: 12 Months
