We're looking for people to join us as Sponsored Reserve Firefighter, a unique role combining civilian firefighting with military purpose, supporting Defence both in the UK and overseas. This is a chance to build a career where you'll be trained, supported and trusted to make a real difference.
Responsibilities
- Respond to real incidents in high pressure environments.
- Work with specialist equipment and RAF teams.
- Support Defence operations in the UK and overseas.
- Be part of a close knit, professional team with a 4 month overseas and 16 month UK pattern.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Be a UK or Republic of Ireland citizen, dual national, or Commonwealth citizen from birth.
- Have lived in the UK for at least 5 years (some cases allow 3 years).
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Meet required fitness standards, including selection and pre joining tests.
- Meet medical and health standards for the role, including eyesight and general fitness.
- Be prepared to complete situational and behavioural assessments, along with all required background checks.

- A starting salary of £30,954, rising to £34,823 once fully trained.
- £7,000 deployment payment each time you deploy overseas.
