Overview

Reporting to the Facilities & Operations Manager you will be responsible for receiving, prioritising, and responding to all planned and reactive maintenance requests across the Hospice and wider LOROS estate, supporting both clinical and non-clinical services to the Hospice and the LOROS estate.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, prioritise and respond to all planned and reactive maintenance requests across the Hospice and wider LOROS estate.
  • Support clinical and non-clinical services with facilities management tasks.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external contractors.
  • Ensure health and safety work practices are applied.
  • Demonstrate a positive, solution‑focused approach and good organisational skills to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced role.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a similar facilities management role; healthcare/clinical setting preferred but training will be provided.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal teams and external contractors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good understanding of health and safety work practices.

Working hours and remuneration

  • Work hours: 33.5 hours per week (average) with the following pattern:
    • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9.00am–3.30pm; Friday 9.00am–5.30pm; Saturday and Sunday 7.30am–3.00pm
    • Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9.00am–3.30pm; Friday 9.00am–5.30pm
  • £12.71 per hour.
  • Alternate salary references (for planning): 24 hours per weekSalary £16,336.32 per annum / £13.09 per hour.
  • 37.5 hours per weekSalary £25,525.50 per annum / £13.09 per hour.
