To co-ordinate and ensure accurate inbound & outbound good processes operate at Plaistow Wharf.

Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest standards within Safety, Quality, Hygiene and Environmental are maintained and co-ordinate the safe movement of vehicles & trailers on site.
  • Ensure both receiving and loading of goods to and from the site are completed in a timely and efficient manner, correctly processed to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Co-ordinate material and ingredient transfers between Plaistow & external warehouses to optimise on-site warehouse capacity.
  • Administer all SAP transactions required for finished goods, remelt, materials, ingredients to be transferred off site.
  • Ensure & optimise the weekly delivery schedule with the Storekeeper for the most efficient use of loading & unloading vehicles.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is both received and forms completed for all goods received on site (CofA, certificate of conformance, delivery notes etc.).
  • Be the site owner of the Truckscale system & resolve or escalate any issues that arise with this system.
  • Support MRP & Operations to carry out regular stock taking of all line side packaging materials, ingredients and products.
  • Work with the Packing Area Managers to ensure correct storage and control of products and liaise with the Quality Department to resolve any quality issues immediately.
  • Perform timely inbound quality checks against supplier specification parameters for materials (including packaging, ingredients, process chemicals and processing aids) arriving on site from suppliers or external warehouses.
  • Conduct checks of inbound deliveries of new or changed packaging materials, ensuring compliance to the artwork standard and to the materials sampling plans.
  • Ensure traceability of inbound materials is legible and in accordance with specification.
  • Ensure all non-conforming materials are quarantined, controlled and communicated appropriately within the business.
  • Support internal and external audits and visits, providing information as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Good numeric and English literacy skills - essential
  • Computer literacy and the ability to handle data quickly and accurately (SAP, Windows and Microsoft Office) - essential
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills - essential
  • Ability to work unsupervised, prioritise workload, and multi-task - essential
  • Fork Lift Truck Licence & minimum 2 years experience - essential
