You will report to the Area Manager and collaborate to achieve store objectives:

  • Be a Learning and Development Champion to support you and your team's personal development and promote a learning culture.
  • Collaborate with all other departments to boost sales and improve operations.

Competently deliver best practices in performance management (weekly one-to-ones, Individual Development Plans, Coaching etc) to ensure your team meet the expectations of their roles and grow within the business. Drive succession across all roles in your store. Be confident in managing underperformance and promptly and fairly conduct disciplinary procedures. Be a motivational leader who prioritises developing individuals' key skills; customer service, product placement, standards and time management, stock loss etc.

Drive sales throughout the year and achieve set financial targets. Oversee Visual Merchandising & floor layouts to ensure displays are commercial and in line with company branding. Confidently access & use available data (Reports, Tableau, Netsuite Reports) for strategic planning. Maintain awareness of market trends, regularly tour vintage and high street competition and share insights with Area manager, other store managers and team.

Efficiently manage item movement, recoveries and rotations (stock on & off floor) so offering is maximised with fresh relevant stock and meets Ideal Offering requirements. Impact warehouse efficiencies and security of product; manage secure & timely deliveries, maintain clean and organised backstocks and returns and strictly adhere to packing and labelling procedures. Impact sustainability and the bottom line by operating with a scarcity mindset. Drive down operation costs and environmental impact by smart management of operations, payroll, stock loss, supplies etc. Reduce stock loss by adhering to all stock loss prevention procedures (Fitting rooms, bag checks, security gate management, giraffing, tagging etc). Assume total accountability for store Health & Safety by upholding Company Health & Safety regulations at all times. Perform SOS (Store Standards checks) on a monthly basis. Ensure individuals are fully compliant in necessary till operations, cash handling, POS and inventory software. Other reasonable responsibilities as requested by the management team for the smooth running of the stores.

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
  • Experience in the retail fashion industry would be an asset.
  • Customer service-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good human who cares about their peers.
