Purpose of the Role

Lead the architectural design and governance of secure technology solutions that bridge corporate IT infrastructure with site-based Operational Technology (OT/SCADA). This position owns the structural design frameworks required to protect critical utility infrastructure through advanced data protection, immutable backup strategies, and comprehensive disaster recovery (DR) capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT/OT Integration: Architect secure, high-availability interfaces connecting enterprise systems with critical industrial control systems (ICS/SCADA), utilizing industry blueprints like the Purdue Model.
  • Data Resilience & Immutability: Design and govern advanced data protection roadmaps, focusing heavily on immutable (WORM) and air-gapped backup solutions to secure infrastructure against ransomware and sophisticated cyber threats.
  • Disaster Recovery: Define, model, and maintain end-to-end Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) architectures to guarantee 24/7 uptime of critical operations.
  • Architecture Governance: Produce high-level (HLD) and low-level designs (LLD) utilizing enterprise modeling standards like TOGAF and ArchiMate.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a Solutions Architect within a regulated utility (Water, Power, Gas) or CNI environment.
  • Deep technical literacy in IT/OT convergence, network zoning, and cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Mastery of enterprise-grade backup infrastructure, data immutability concepts, and complex DR failover testing.
