This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with strong experience and a proven track record in Turnaround and Restructuring corporate research, market research and/or credit analysis. You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of client work providing data and insights to support the team in going to market. Identifying new clients and sectors of interest, undertaking horizon scanning and providing research for pitches and proposals, to ensure the team are identifying opportunities and market challenges ahead of our competition. You will also be responsible for thought leadership and targeting initiatives alongside the Business Development Associate Director, our Meeting Origination team and the fee-earning team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Turnaround and Restructuring, Pensions and Debt & Capital Advisory teams to provide support and high‑quality analysis for pitches, proposals, and the generation of new work;
  • Identify and act on commercial opportunities;
  • Oversee thought leadership;
  • Maintain sector knowledge management;
  • Raise the team’s profile both internally and externally.

Apply strong knowledge of the restructuring and debt & capital markets and their related intermediaries, and coordinate opportunity generation, knowledge management, and business development with sector analysts, marketing, and business development colleagues. Collaborate with the sector and market intelligence team members to supply a comprehensive view of internal experience and credentials as well as analysis of external market conditions. Leverage research tools, AI and automation to accelerate delivery, quality, and depth of research, thereby helping the team win new business. Work closely with senior fee‑earners to develop a pro‑active and sector‑driven go‑to‑market strategy.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong experience in a restructuring, investment banking, credit analyst environment, or a specialist data provider such as Debtwire or Octus.
  • Strong analytical skills in interpreting financial data.
  • Excellent commercial awareness.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with debt market research databases (Octus, Debtwire, 9Fin) and financial research tools such as CapIQ, Bureau Van Dijk or Mergermarket.
  • Experience using AI and automation tools.
  • Tenacity, resilience, and the capability to drive projects through to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
